I would comment only if I knew my comment would be of any use (constructively speaking, that is) and if I have the time.

But you would get to know that after you read the work right? Otherwise it is hard to decide whether your critique will be helpful or not. And time... well 3 comments/critiques giving you submission for a month... I hope you get enough time ^^;

That is true. :) I'll do my best to give as many critiques as possible, but when I critique I do the most in depth thing I can come up with and that tends to take a while for me. With school starting up again soon I can't say exactly how much time I'll have, but I'll do my absolute best to comment on at least one a month. ^_^

As long as I am familiar with the media and subject matter I always try to leave a helpful comment.

That is quite a nice practice :nod: literature in general counts as a familiar media?

That truly is a different category. It also depends on which series/original work the fanfic is based on :nod:

Yeah, that too, I guess. Its just hard to search threw every story to find out which fandom is which, you know?

Yup. It is not easy to CRITIQUE unless a group is specifically made for fanfiction. Also, even if one knows the fandom, it depends on their perspective. I personally don't read much fan fiction though I do watch quite some animes.

No what I mean is, if a story is called "The Missing Person" your not going to know if that is literature or fanfiction unless it says, "ItachixOC The Missing Person." I can usually critique fanfiction (I am HARSH) if I am familiar with the story. (Its easier on fanfiction.net because there is a filter)

Ah I see. But even if it is stated with the title, it is not always easy to have it critiqued by people who know the fandom or know the story uptill that point. I know many people who haven't seen Code Geass while it stands as one of the best animes I have seen. Then again I haven't seen Fullmetal. And yay you are harsh :D I don't read much fanfic I guess :nod:

The site you stated sounds good - for people who write and read fan fic at least :)

I certainly would - it is an underappreciated work and it deserves some significant standing.
